The December 1, 2006 St. Louis Ice Storm

It all started with a lot of rain, then turned to freezing rain, then sleet and finally snow.  We got nearly two inches of ice accumulation here in University City topped with a couple more inches of sleet and snow.  The storm left over 500,000 people without power here in the St. Louis area.  Central Missouri didn't get that much ice, but they got almost 2 feet of snow.  As you can tell from the images, it's not all bad!  The kids got out and had some fun with it (schools were closed) and mother nature provided some art masterpieces.

Not exactly a snow picture, but it was so cute, I couldn't resist.
