I received a request from my young friend Paul to give an account of some of my life's highlights for a project he was doing at school. He had to interview someone in his circle of family and friends that has led "an interesting and exciting life". I wouldn't have thought that I qualified but after jotting down some notes, memories of my childhood came flooding back and I eventually added to the story.
