We decide to do the seemingly
impossible, and that is get the entire family together for a short vacation
at Beaver Lake Arkansas. We rented 3 cabins on the shores of the Lake
at a place called "Coppermine Lodge". It's not exactly the Ritz
Carlton, but it did provide the essentials and had us all in close proximity
for 3 full days. The weather remained cloudy for most of the time but
we did manage to swim, go boating and explore the countryside. Adults
and kids alike had a great time. Who knows... we may do it again next
year. I'll take more pictures next time too. We were too
busy on the lake and missed some potentially great shots of Arnie towing
skiers in the speedboat and of the rest of us puttering along in his wake on
the pontoon boat.

Our little Allison has looked forward to this for some time. The kid is always "up" for an adventure. |
Not wanting to break their routine, Charlie and Allison practice their yoga before retiring for the night. |
Before heading out to the Lake, the kids wanted to try out the swimming pool. |
They were soon joined by the others |
Clayton got lots of use out of his snorkel set. Chris also joins the fun. |
It got pretty cool in the evenings. Allison is getting ready to head inside, but had to make the rounds wishing everyone a good night. |
The big girls get their turn to relax a little. |
Chuckie and Clayton watching the sunset from the boat dock. |

Looking out over the cove from the dock. |
The rest of the gang crowds in. Chuckie and Clayton are wondering what happened to the serenity they enjoyed just a few moments ago. |
A few moments to watch the tube before heading off to bed. |
Breakfast the next morning. Charlie is too hungry to wait on the food and decides to munch down on some peanut butter. |
Arnie and Allison take a swing |

Here we are panning for precious stones. We all brought back enough to retire for life. |
Is that really a ruby or just a chip off the tail light from a 1965 Buick? |
Clayton enjoyed our tour of the War Eagle Caverns. Not everybody liked the bats, cold and dampness as much as he did. |
Summer loved the sunsets, getting towed on a rubber raft behind the boat and exploring the shoreline. She didn't care too much about sharing a bed with her little sister. |
A late night game of cards. Most have gone off to bed already and Chuckie is wishing that everyone else would do the same. |
