It's becoming a tradition that we cruise the beautiful Current River with friends Steve and Barbara at least once during the year. We decided to go after after the Labor Day weekend to avoid crowds. We arrived at the canoe rental place at 10:30 and were on the river by 11:00 AM for our 8 mile journey. The weather was great, there was lots of good food and drink, no spills, and we only saw 4 other canoes the whole time we were on the river.
