This lovely dog has been a friend and companion to me for almost three years now. I take a lot of pictures of the dog, simply because he's always present and he makes me laugh. He's a very sweet boy that seems to like people more than other dogs. He does have a favorite playmate by the name of Hannah. Hannah is a female airedale that is prone to get into trouble. We all hoped that Draco would be a good influence but it appears that our free spirited Hannah wants to have it her way.
My dog is spoiled but I'm not the only one guilty of it. Arnie, Jennifer, my friends, they have all contributed. Yup, he's spoiled, but I like to think "in a good way". He has a basket of toys in the house, one on the patio, and more scattered in the basement. Most of those came from my son Arnie. When he comes to visit he either has a toy or he has to undergo a very close scrutiny by the hound. When my friend John comes over, he brings a bag of sausage slices, preheated. Yes he's spoiled but he responds by being a very good boy. Off the leash, he responds when I whistle or call. He always keeps me in sight even on hikes through the woods or around the lake. He's a very good boy.
We have a routine that neither one of us likes to break. At the first light, we're off to the dog park. Before we get a block from the house, he breaks into song (see video below). At the dog park he plays with his friends Hannah, Peetie, Brodie, Mattie and Gracie, all morning regulars. At lunch time we go for a hike, sometimes with friends, sometimes just the two of us. On occasions we make a return trip to the dog park late afternoon but we also walk through the neighborhood a lot. We have a large back yard but he only plays out there when I'm out there with him.
