This was our old home in O'Fallon, Missouri.  Well, actually it was a new home, and very nice, but we just weren't comfortable with the "ticky tacky" suburban life, and had been looking in and near the city for a suitable residence.  We settled for University City.

This is our new (old) home!  Real trees, and lot's of them.  As you can see from the picture, there is a lot of pruning and gardening to be done.  The home is in great shape for it's age, but there is still lots of work ahead to get it in shape for the move.

You can see the house from the trees.  It took a tremendous amount of work to clear the shrubs, vines, and trees.  The boys helped.  The back yard is still undergoing a transformation.  It will take time.

We started with the renovation of the lower level.  All the hardwood floors have been redone.  This is the entry leading upstairs

A bigger view of the entry and the stairs leading to the first landing.  Cherie also lovingly stripped the front door (not seen) of many layers of paint, restoring the natural beauty of oak.
