Since we didn't decorate or home for the Holidays, had no tree, not even
a nutcracker or a sprig of green around the house, we were glad to accept
Arnie's invitation to spend Christmas Day with them.
The added bonus this year was the fact that Summer came home from NYU to
spend the Christmas Holidays in the Lou. We haven't seen her since
July and Arnie kept her visit a complete surprise right up until Christmas
As usual, there was a lot of great food, libations, and good fellowship. Rebecca's
local family were there for the occasion, a few friends and Cherie's Sister
Shirley was on hand as well.
We did not do the usual larger family circle ornament exchange, because
there are just too many of us now to host it in a home. This was much
more intimate and one actually had the opportunity to carry on some meaningful
