Christmas  2002

As tradition dictates, we split up our Christmas activities into several different events.  This year was no exception.  The Sunday before Christmas, we visited Jenn, Chris and Charlie in Columbia.  On Christmas Eve, the extended family met at Kent and Carla's for a gift exchange, and on Christmas Day, the immediate family gathered at our home for Christmas dinner and further gift exchange.  This year, we were treated to a 6 inch snowfall on Christmas Eve, which made it even more festive.

On Sunday...
We braved the crowds at the mall to give little Charlotte the opportunity to visit with the mall Santa.  After standing in line for a while, the results were disappointing.  Charlie cried, and I think Santa had a tear or two in his eyes as well.  Still, we had a wonderful visit with our youngest granddaughter.  She is getting bigger and cuter all the time.  She was much more relaxed at home and in her mother's arms.

On Christmas Eve...
Allison unwrapping presents at the Henry's gift exchange on Christmas Eve.  As you can tell, she was in her element.  The kids all had a great time together.

Summer missed out on her choir performance at the church because of the snowstorm.  With Kent accompanying her on the guitar, she belts out an award winning rendition of "Away in a manger."

An appreciative audience.  Grandma and Grandpa Stehlick are getting up there in age.  It was good to see them both up and around.

The days activities proved to be too much for Allison.  After a change into a pink Christmas outfit, she fell asleep in her mother's arms.  She recovered later.
